Again, my sister in law Miranda is amazing when it comes to photography (click on her name to see her photography blog.) I love having her so close because I get such cute pictures taken all of the time. These are some of the newborn pictures we got of Tebbin. He was pretty mad that I was putting him on his stomach, so we didn't get as many as we thought we would the first time around. We took more pictures this week and I will post them as soon as we get them. It's still so amazing to me that this little spirit has been entrusted to me. I have loved being a mommy and I am excited to be able to learn and grow from this sweet little boy. Isn't he adorable? Thank you again Miranda!

He's finally Here!
My baby is here!!! Hooray! I cannot describe the feelings we have right now! So here is the breakdown:
I woke up at 8:00 like normal to some minor back pain. It went away quickly. About five minutes later I felt it again, and moved around a little in bed to get comfortable and it went away. Five minutes later I felt it again and then a light clicked on: wait a minute, these pains are coming at regular intervals. (haha, yeah, I'm a dork!)
so I went about cleaning my already clean house (this last week has been major nesting: cleaning out vents, organizing a different closet each day, scrubbing baseboards, etc...). I completed the dishes and realized the contractions were about 3 minutes apart. I felt like a dork going in, because it wasn't really painful. I finally decided to call the on-call physician for my doctor about 10:45 AM and they told me to come on in.
I walked around the hospital for quite a bit. My water broke at 2:00 P.M. and then I found out what a contraction really felt like!!! Oh my goodness! :) I handled the contractions pretty well for about an hour in a half. When I got to an 8 I decided I was not going to go natural (which I was planning originally). I got an epederal and Oh my goodness it was like heaven! Kudos to those of you who can go natural- you are amazing.
I thought for sure he would be bigger as I was due three days ago... but he is so precious- as you can see! I think he looks so much like his daddy! We are so excited to be parents and are so thankful for all your support and love through this labor! We love you! Love Katie Lee 29 comments

Where's the Baby?
So I've had a lot of people ask if the baby is here yet, I mean, I am due TOMORROW! Nope... no baby yet! And apparently he does not want to come out. I thought I'd be like all the rest of my sisters and go into labor approximately 2 weeks before I was due. No such luck! My Dr. informed me on Monday that I have a 'stubborn cervix.'
I am going to the Dr.'s tomorrow morning to see if there has been any progress... and they have tentatively set my induction date for next Tuesday, the 14th (5 days AFTER my due date.) I don't want to be induced. I am not scared of going into labor, I know it'll be the worst pain I've ever been in... but hey, I get a baby out of it. But I am scared of being induced.
And trust me, I have tried everything they tell you to do to 'naturally' go into labor at home.... and I do mean everything. Well... everything except castor oil, I don't think there is anything 'natural' about making yourself extremely sick to go into labor... I just can't bring myself to do it even though I've had many of my friends and family swear by it.
But as my due date is arriving and my induction date draws closer I keep thinking, maybe it's not a bad idea? What do you think?

Updates on projects!

So, I have to brag about my husband and his family and their amazing skills when it comes to household projects. Earlier in the year I posted a picture of the start of our pantry that Cameron built as a valentines gift. The before and after speak for themselves.
And the latest Johnson Household project: The Baby's Room. I have had a vision in my head about what I want this room to look like since before I was pregnant... and Cameron and pops pulled it off spectacularly. I will get better pictures once I have Everything Hung up and in place.
This is the reason girls should be okay with letting their man get power tools. And thank you so much to pops for helping Cameron with the room... and with the pantry! You're the best father-in-law ever!

The Blackfoot Fair
So I am extremely behind on my blogging, please forgive me. Between trying to get ready for the baby, planning pregnancy leave, working full time, and trying to get jobs for our home business it's been extremely busy.
But this is my favorite post of all time because HELLO... it's the Blackfoot fair. I look forward to this fair every year.
I'm already looking forward to next years delectable goodies that I get to taste. I can't help it, I'm addicted to fair food; and this year I had an excuse for eating so much since I'm eating for two. tee hee. I seriously tell my husband that we need to take $50 for souveniers every year, and $150 for food!!! And I practically spend that much if I am there the whole day.

Oh Blackfoot fair, why can't you stay all year?Love Katie Lee 2 comments
